Vielmetter Los Angeles wants everyone to be able to see the art we show and read about our artists, exhibitions and events, whatever device or assistive technology they use.

Standard

This website aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

How we check it

  • Every kind of page is checked against WCAG 2.2 AA with automated tests (axe), on large and small screens, each time the website is changed.
  • All controls can be used with a keyboard, and every one of them shows where the focus is; menus, the search, slideshows, the image viewer, the enquiry form and the shopping cart are tested with the keyboard.
  • Pages work at 320 pixels wide and when text is enlarged, are tested in Chrome and Safari, and can be read without JavaScript.
  • Slideshows and moving images can be paused, and animations are turned off when your device asks for reduced motion.

Known limitations

  • The checkout of our shop is provided by Shopify on its own pages; Shopify is responsible for their accessibility.
  • Embedded videos are played by Vimeo or YouTube, and press coverage links to the publishers’ own websites, which we do not control.
  • Older archive pages may contain images without a full description.
