Alec Egan (b. 1984) was born in Los Angeles, California, where he currently lives and works.

Recent solo exhibitions include Blue Setting (2023), The Study (2021), and Pets (2019) at Charles Moffett in New York; Drawing Room at Brattleboro Museum and Art Center in Vermont (2023); Look Out at Anat Ebgi in Los Angeles (2022); Miro’s Corner at MAKI Gallery in Tokyo (2021); and Welcome Home (2017) at the California Heritage Museum in Culver City. His work has also been included in group exhibitions at Almine Rech in Paris, MAKI Gallery in Tokyo, Dubuque Museum of Art in Iowa, and Torrance Art Museum in California.

Egan’s work is held in the permanent collections of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the Institute of Contemporary Art in Miami.
